Weft Techniques:

If you plan on keeping your extensions long term, make sure you get them tightened every 6-8 weeks. Tightening prices can be seen on each individual technique's page located under the menu “Services”. Even if your hair extensions don’t feel loose, book an appointment so we can make sure there is no tangling or other problems that you may not be able to see on your own. Your hair naturally sheds 50-150 strands of hair per day. That hair which has naturally shed has nowhere to go when you have your wefts installed. That means that the hair can start to tangle into your weft if you don’t get them tightened soon enough. When you get your extensions tightened, you’ll notice us brushing out small amounts of hair. Don’t be nervous, this hair did not fall out because of the hair extensions. It naturally sheds on its own in between tightening appointments, and isn’t able to be brushed out until your tightening appointment. If you wait longer than eight weeks to tighten and are exceptionally rough on your hair, this is when you may actually experience hair loss that is not natural. Depending on how strong your hair is, some clients can wait up to 10 weeks. This is not recommended. The recommended time to tighten your extensions is every 6-8 weeks.

Products:  Because extension hair is no longer attached to a head, it does not receive the nutrients or natural oils that your hair does. Therefore your extensions won't feel exactly like your nutrient abundant hair, but rather more dry. It's very important to make sure that you moisturize with the right product in order to make up for this. With any extensions, non-professional products are not recommended. We only recommend using the Unite Hair Care Line which we carry exclusively at our salon. From our experience this is the best brand we have used for extensions. Heat protecting gloss, leave in conditioners, and oil serums will make the maintenance so much easier and the lifespan on your hair extensions longer.

**You should always check ingredients. Never use products with alcohol, parabens or sulfates. Those ingredients dry out the hair immensely. Store bought brands (including Sally's) are packed with chemicals and will most often damage the hair instead of making it better.

Terms:  Hair extensions are non-refundable. There are absolutely no refunds on the services or hair. Our extensions are specially ordered, for hygienic purposes they cannot be exchanged or returned. Most people love extensions but there are exceptions and you can't always know ahead of time. If you are extremely sensitive or have extremely thin hair, you may not want to get them. You do need to give extensions a fair chance. It can take a week or two to get used to the feeling of the attachments. The extension hair may not feel exactly like your own hair and that is to be expected.
